Windshield Repair Services

Windshield Repairs are a great alternative to replacing the glass if the damage is small enough. When a windshield shows damage, call Bullseye Auto Glass right away to help better your chances the damage can be repaired which can save you hundreds of dollars when compared to the cost of a windshield replacement.

Can My Windshield Be Repaired?

About 80% of all damaged windshields can be repaired, but how can you tell if your glass meets the requirements? A good rule of thumb to go by is the size of the damaged area. If it happens to be about the size of a quarter or smaller, the damage can probably be repaired. The key is to make sure you repair your windshield as soon as you notice the damage. If the damage isn't treated, wind, weather, and debris can get into the crack or rock-chip and cause a small crack to grow and spiderweb which will make a windshield replacement a requirement.

What's Involved in Repairing a Windshield?

The typical windshield repair can be performed in about 20 minutes; however, proper conditions must be available. A windshield is repaired by injecting special resins into the damaged area which help fill in the cracks and chips and bond to the glass itself to help keep the damage from spreading. Once the resin is injected into the crack, the UV rays from the sun cause the resin to cure, bonding it to the windshield and drastically reducing the appearance of the damage.
